ARNOVA is working with SocialOffset!

Many ARNOVA members have expressed concern about the ways in which elected officials in Florida have used their power to create a hostile environment for marginalized groups in the state. One way in which ARNOVA members can take action and show solidarity with these groups is to donate to Florida organizations working to create a more welcoming and inclusive state environment. Please consider donating to one of the organizations listed on the Social Offset site, or choose another that you believe in. We have selected five organizations to which you can donate through Social Offset, including the three organizations represented by the speakers at our plenary session.  

Equality Florida is Florida’s largest LGBTQ+ organization and is playing a leadership role in advocacy efforts to secure rights and protection for that community.  

Southern Legal Counsel uses litigation strategies to pursue social change, reform systems and institutions, and strike down unjust laws and policies on many issues including the criminalization of poverty, health care access, and transgender rights. 

Peaceful Paths is a Florida domestic violence service provider, serving three counties in the northern part of the state.  The organization, like others in the state, has faced new challenges to its work as result of recent state legal and regulatory policy changes

Southern Legal Counsel Racial Justice uses the power of the law to obtain positive social change, reform systems and institutions, strike down unjust laws and policies, and hold government accountable to the people.

Conservation Florida focuses on saving land within the Florida Wildlife Corridor by facilitating, purchasing, or accepting donations of land and conservation easements, serving as a trusted community partner to support statewide land conservation, and through effective advocacy, education, and outreach programming.
